Q. All right, here with Julia Lopez Ramirez after her second round at the Mizuho Americas Open. Just tell me about the round, especially about battling through these really tricky conditions today.
JULIA LOPEZ RAMIREZ: Yeah, it was tough out there because it got windy and started raining. Obviously the beginning of the round was fine because the weather was really nice for us.
Then the rain came, so it was a bit of a roller coaster, a lot of long irons, up and downs to get. Honestly the putting was something that really saved me today. It was a lot of up and downs, lag putting, so that was really good to see and see the game getting saved for the putter, so that's good.
Q. Yeah. Not only are you well within the cut line, but just one shot out of the lead right now. How excited are you to see that going into Saturday?
JULIA LOPEZ RAMIREZ: I'll really excited, especially going into the weekend one shot back. I think it's just what we always look for, and just go in the weekend and have my fun and play my golf game and that's what I'm most excited about.
Q. Mentally how do you sort of prepare coming into this week? I know you had recent injuries; missed a few cuts.
JULIA LOPEZ RAMIREZ: I think I put the work that I had to put, especially after coming with my appendix. I think I work really hard getting back to it. My game is in a really good position right now, so that give me the positive and confident to come into the weekend and just be very excited for what comes.
Q. Last question: First time playing this event. Just what are your thoughts on the course, on the event itself? How are you enjoying it or what is suiting you about this week?
JULIA LOPEZ RAMIREZ: Yeah, I think the course like really like good vibes for me. It's like long, trees, and obviously that gives me my advantage of getting my distance out of there.
So it's been really nice to hit a lot wedges and short irons, so it's been really nice.
And, but, yeah, just reminds me of home. It's really exciting, especially having the views of the city and the boat, having -- watching the Statue of Liberty. It's really cool to be honest. And just being in the hotel in Manhattan, it's quite cool.
