Q. Nelly, pleasure following you again today. Always seem to follow you in tough conditions. Yesterday was wind, today was rain. What is it about those tough conditions that tends to bring out good golf in you?
NELLY KORDA: You have to dial into a small target, and you have to be focused 100 percent on each shot.
Jason said today, I was walking out on the putting green, and he said, today the word is acceptance. So you knew that you were going to make some mistakes. I made one on the 1st hole, but I bounced back pretty quickly and had a pretty solid day.
Q. I would say so. Saw you playing with Aphrodite Deng, who won your tournament. How rewarding is it to you to see a player like that come through the junior ranks in a tournament that you have helped run and now out here playing with you in this event?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, she's got game. Very impressive, super consistent off the tee, super consistent on the greens. So I can't wait to follow her career to see where she's going to go.
I know she mentioned that she wants to go to college. I can't wait to see what she does, but I was very impressed. I think what the AJGA has done, what Michelle has done with this event to play alongside us, that's only going to help them. To play under pressure in front of such a great crowd, she played really great.
