JEENO THITIKUL: Jeeno, just came off the third round at the Mizuho Americas Open, shot a 7-under. You say you don't know how, but try to explain to us about the great day you had today.
JEENO THITIKUL: I exactly don't know how. At the driving range before going out today, I just told myself that I'm just going to be really patient today. I'm trying to keep the ball on the fairway and then also on the green.
Shooting even-par, it's good enough for me today, that's what I thought to myself before I went out. It turned out to be really good on like I have a really good start, like birdies, 1-under, 2-under when I started, and just kept me going and going.
I know I have been doing a good job out there. I'm just waiting for the putts to drop.
Q. Lots of birdies on the card in very difficult conditions. Can you talk about how you just like managed the wind and also yesterday the rain? You had a bunch of different conditions this week. How have you managed all that?
JEENO THITIKUL: I think for me the wind is okay if it's sunny. Like today it's sunny, I know it's a lot of wind, but yesterday it's kind of like cold, windy, and also raining, which I'm not really used to it.
Like I said earlier, golf really taught me to be patient because I know I have been doing a good job and I have been hitting a bunch of good shots. It's just the result sometimes doesn't show how good it was.
But I still keep telling myself, if I have a good job, like hitting good balls but results don't turn out to be the way I want, I just try to be patient and keep doing that.
Q. Going into tomorrow, you have the lead right now. Lots of good players around you. How exciting is that for you? Do you like being in that position? Just tell me how excited you are to play tomorrow in the final group.
JEENO THITIKUL: It's going to be really exciting, and a lot of nerves going to be out there tomorrow for sure because a lot of good players can be in contention.
I love being in that position because it means I have been doing a good job. Yeah, sometimes you can handle the position well, but sometimes it's just not our day.
Hopefully I'll just try to do the way I want to do and the way I think my shot's going to be, and hopefully the result will be kind to me.
