Quick Quotes

Q. Andrea, another top-10 finish for you. Take us through the week.

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I had a really solid week. I'm pretty happy with where the game is at. Obviously a little bit disappointing today. Just couldn't really get anything going. But I stayed super patient out there, tried to stay positive, and I feel like I just played really solid golf but couldn't get any momentum today.

But yeah, overall just super satisfied.

Q. As of now, only six bogeys on the card, tied for the second least throughout the week. What were you doing to keep yourself out of those bogey situations?

ANDREA LEE: I think just playing really smart golf and just hitting the fat part of the green, hitting fairways and making the birdies where I could and getting aggressive where I could. So I think the game plan, just me and my caddie Bob, what we had going I thought was really solid and worked really well all week.

Q. Talk about how much of a grind this week was. We had the weather and just everything that went on this week.

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, golf is super funny. The first day was really windy. Yesterday was extremely windy. Then the second day was dumping rain for like 14, 15 holes. We had the best weather today, and I shot my highest score of the week. So golf just makes you work like that, I guess.

But I think, yeah, I just stayed really patient all week, played really solid golf all week and minimized a lot of the mistakes, which is why I was able to have good scores.

Q. You got to play alongside Aphrodite, who it looks like she's going to win the AJGA portion of it. What did you notice about her game?

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, she's a really solid young player. I think she's only like 15 years old, so it makes me feel extremely old.

But yeah, she actually bombs it for her size. She hits really long drives off the tee and really good short game, really good putter. I think she has a really bright future ahead of her. Really happy for her. I honestly didn't even know that she won walking up 18 because I didn't really know how Stableford points work. But super happy for her, and congrats to her.

Q. How much momentum will you take away from these back-to-back top 10s, especially with Mexico and U.S. Women's Open on the horizon?

ANDREA LEE: Well, I'm first looking really forward to some time off. I'm going to get a two-week break and take Mexico off and start again at the U.S. Women's Open, which is my favorite event of the year, which I'm really excited to play at Erin Hills. Yeah, just trying to sharpen the edges a little bit, take what worked for me these past couple of weeks and build off of that. I definitely have a lot of confidence going into the Women's Open. Just going to work a little bit and hopefully have another great week.
