Press Conference

THE MODERATOR: Welcome to the media center at the 2025 FM Championship. I am joined here by Jeeno Thitikul, Rolex No. 1. You just got off the pro-am. Can you talk a little bit about the course this week and what you're looking forward to most about being here in Boston?

JEENO THITIKUL: Definitely the course is in good shape since last year. I think TPC always hold a really good (indiscernible) to all the LPGA events for us.

And then I think this week I just looking for a good golf, a good food, and, you know, a good experience out there.

Q. And coming off last week in Canada, you had a good performance. Can you talk about carrying that into this week?

JEENO THITIKUL: I feel like just usual being in the office again. I'm trying to do my best every week again, but like last week I do have a really good iron shots. After AIG I felt like I need something to do with my, you know, like swing-wise, so like I said, I have been finding something with the irons.

Now I trying to find the consistent in my driver.

Q. I know your coach -- how often has he been on the road with you recently?

JEENO THITIKUL: He usually come for like a major week pretty much.

Q. So when he's in Thailand and you're here, how do you communicate with the time difference when you're working on something like your driver?

JEENO THITIKUL: We just had Zoom or maybe just send a video if I have something like seriously and I can't fix it out by myself. That's the time I'll call him.

He's usually staying up pretty early to watch me play every match.

Q. Does it feel any different being the No. 1 player in the world for you inside the ropes or outside the ropes?

JEENO THITIKUL: Like I said earlier, I think I'm the same person. It just a number-wise that it's -- the golf, the ranking, the stats, they just build it up, but I think I just said to the media guy that walk up with me today, like I don't think I'm good. I don't think I'm that good.

He's just like, what are you just saying? (Smiling.) I just like, I think especially the number-wise tell me how humble I has to be outside of the rope as well I think.

Q. When you say you don't think you're that good, does that mean you're surprised by your wins?

JEENO THITIKUL: Just surprised by everything, surviving here on LPGA. I'm just like it's so many players that got talented and then I just -- I swear that when I was young I just thought about winning a tournament, just one tournament on the LPGA would be enough for me.

But to hear where I am now, I don't know how I get it. (Smiling.)

Q. You mentioned good food. What are you most looking forward to eating out here?

JEENO THITIKUL: Lobster roll. We had it last year in the pro-am party, but I haven't find it yet this year.

Q. We'll need to work on that. So given the fact that with this course a big emphasis is hitting the fairways, you talk about your confidence and you being able to hit your driver. Is that something you feel good confidence in leading up to tomorrow?

JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, I'm just about to think I need to figure out something on the range to find my rhythm of my driver. I don't think my driver is on the right track yet, but it wasn't that big problem, big serious, but it's not as accurate as normal. So I about to hit the balls after the media.

Q. You mentioned not thinking of yourself as that good, as world No. 1. There is an incredible field here this week and a lot of that is headlined by the world No. 1. What do you think of the field and how do you carry those expectations of maybe a target on your back?

JEENO THITIKUL: The field this week is so strong, pretty like strong. I think like all top of like 30 in the world is here, 40 in the world is here. And then because the FM hosted a really good event from last year, they're pretty new but they hosted really good, so I think that's why everyone is here.

And then I think I can't control anything except myself and my swing, my stroke, and I can't control other people and other like players, how they going to play. So I just think they're just doing their job and I doing my job, which our job is making lots of birdies that we can in a day.

Yeah, that's pretty much how we strategy in each and every event.

THE MODERATOR: All right, thanks, everybody, appreciate it.

JEENO THITIKUL: Good. Thank you.
