First Round:
Q. Probably not the start that you wanted, maybe you can just go through your round with us today.
LIYANA DURISIC: I wasn't really hitting the ball very well. I was in the rough a lot and then the ball just flew over the green like all the time, so I keep finding myself chipping downhill and that was a struggle.
Other than that, I think tomorrow the game plan is just to be more on the fairway so that it spins more and go from there.
Q. Talk about the first tee; what were your thoughts?
LIYANA DURISIC: On the first tee I was so nervous -- on the 10th I was so nervous. I went into the water. Probably not the best way to start, but at least I got it out of the way.
And then I was just going for, okay, let's just make fairways, greens, and two-putt, par. Pars are good.
Q. After your birdie on the 18th you actually got a bit of a -- there was one hole. You want to talk about that one.
LIYANA DURISIC: I'm trying to think which hole that was. Oh, that hole. I miss-hit my iron off the tee and it was a hard shot. I had to flop it and it wasn't -- I guess I shouldn't have gotten cute about it because it went short and came back down to exactly where I was.
My mind was not in a good place at that point in time and I was like, okay, just take the L and move on and go to the next hole and try to make birdie.
Q. What would you say you'll be focusing on after this round today?
LIYANA DURISIC: I think I'll be doing some reflection with my brother. I think I'm just going to go through hole by hole and see what needs to be worked on. I think it's more off the tee. I think if I can get more fairways the ball is going to spin or on the green and then I have a good distance for a good putted.
Q. Maybe share about how your brother caddied for you during the qualifiers and also today. How has he helped you?
LIYANA DURISIC: I think he's helped a lot. We obviously have a lot more information when comparing what happened in the qualifier and what happened here. So we had more information going in.
And then it was just thinking about doing the same thing, so hopefully I'll be able to putt better. Didn't really work today. Hopefully moving on we'll make better decisions and play better.
