Quick Quotes

Q. I am here with Bianca after her second round at the Maybank Championship. Really solid round today; 6-under. Just talk about how it went out there from your perspective.

BIANCA PAGDANGANAN: It was really good. I made a lot of putts. Gave myself a lot of opportunities. I think ball striking was pretty decent. I hit a lot closer and definitely made -- or took advantage of all those close birdie putts.

One double, which sucks, but it's okay. It's golf. That happens. I was able to bounce back or stay level heading to my last two holes. Overall, it was a pretty good round.

Q. Do you think that's kind of what made a difference in today's round versus yesterday for you?

BIANCA PAGDANGANAN: For sure. I feel like ball striking has been pretty solid. I wasn't really able to make my putts yesterday. Five lip-outs in my first six holes and that's not an exaggeration. At one point I looked at my caddie and he laughed at me, and I was like, same, yeah.

Ball striking has been pretty good. Hopefully I can keep it up for the rest of the week. Feels pretty good, so I'm happy with how I played today.

Q. With those lip-outs and stuff yesterday, how do you stay patient and reset for today?

BIANCA PAGDANGANAN: I don't know, I knew that I was stroking it pretty good so I knew they were going to have to drop eventually. Sure enough, on my seventh hole it did. Patience lasted pretty long.

But, yeah, I think when those things happen you kind of just have to take it how it is. You can't get upset over those kinds the details. Patience is so important out here.

Like I said, I knew I was stroking it good, hitting it good, so it was only a matter of time and my putts were going to drop.

Q. You're a sponsor invite this week at the Maybank Championship. What's it been like to have this opportunity?

BIANCA PAGDANGANAN: I'm actually really happy to be here. I was in the Philippines prior to this week, so when I got the invite was really excited. I didn't have to fly that far.

It's a really great opportunity. I'm happy to be playing in Southeast Asia. This is my region, so I feel really nice, kind of acclimated to the weather. I'm really grateful for the opportunity to play this week.

Really thankful for Maybank and the opportunity they're not just giving us LPGA players, but the all the other ASEAN players. Yeah, what they're doing to grow the game is really great.

Q. Last question. You touched on it a little bit. How much do you just enjoy the LPGA playing in Asia, especially being from this region?

BIANCA PAGDANGANAN: I really like it. I love Asian food, so being in this part of the world really gets me excited. I know a couple people can fly over here from the Philippines so I think it's a great -- shoutout -- just saying. I'm right here, hey.

But not just support me obviously, just golf in general, just growing it in this part of the world is really important, so it feels great. I'm really, really happy to be here.
