Q. A brilliant 65 Gemma, and a very brave drive on 16. Tell us about that.

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, I was honestly aiming a little further right than that, but, yeah, smashed it. I wasn't actually expecting it to land on the green. It landed just a foot on and it went straight at the pin but over the green. We were a little bit nervous for it to go in the water, but it was just perfect, just in the rough. It was kind of thick rough but I was a happy to see it up.

Q. Brilliant driving; a par-4. It was a wonderful scorecard. You didn't miss a green; 18 greens. My goodness me. How do you do that around a course like this?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, it's not easy. It's always nice to do that. You don't do that very often. Yeah, obviously made it stress-free, which was nice. I had a couple long putts here and there.

Yeah, very stress-free and lots of birdie chances, which is nice.

Q. You're from Scotland, you live in New Orleans, and it's baking here. How do you cope with this heat?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, thankful the experience in New Orleans helps me. Obviously in the summer it's kind of like this. So experience from that, kind of using that this week. Obviously very different to Scotland.

Yeah, just using all that experience from New Orleans and Tulane University, yeah.

Q. Important week for you with the Race to the CME coming up. You're just outside, so a good finish here would make all the difference.

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, absolutely. Obviously got this week and then Japan and Pelican to go to get into CME. That's obviously the goal for the next three events. Yeah, good finish this week would mean a lot.

Q. And what a present at the end of the year. You're going to become a mum.

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, very excited. Baby due Christmas Eve, so my partner is -- she usually travels on Tour, but she's back home, so say hello to her. Yeah, she's doing really well and, yeah, we're very excited. It's going to be life changing but all for the better.

Q. Happy times ahead and good luck tomorrow. Great start today.

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, that's very much.
