Ashley Lau

Quick Quotes

Q. Here about Ashley Lau. Even par today. Tougher conditions today?

ASHLEY LAU: No, I think I just wasn't playing as good as yesterday. Putts just weren't dropping for me. It's okay. Two more days.

Q. How do you reset for tomorrow?

ASHLEY LAU: I think still the same game plan. Just, yeah, I think it's just one of those days where, you know, putts just weren't dropping so maybe do a little putting practice after this and hopefully more putts drop tomorrow.

Q. How does it affect you when you make so many bogeys? How do you reset?

ASHLEY LAU: I think you just have to forget about it. It already happened. Nothing you can do about it. Just have to focus on your next shot.

Q. You look somewhat frustrated just now. Can you just give us a summary of what went wrong, what went right?

ASHLEY LAU: Putt something usually my I guess bread and butter, you can say that. So I was getting a little frustrated. My putts weren't dropping.

My caddie was telling me, you know, head up and look up. Just forget about the last shot and just focus on your next shot, focus on the next hole.

Q. What's your mindset going into tomorrow?

ASHLEY LAU: Mindset, I think just really try to have fun out there and try to learn from all these good players I'm playing with. Yeah, nothing different than the last two days.

Q. Birdie on hole No. 8. Tell us probably a little bit how you stuck through it and how that birdie came about.

ASHLEY LAU: Yeah, I left myself a good five-, six-footer for birdie and I told my caddie, usually I don't -- I read the putts on my own, but I think today it wasn't dropping so I told my caddie to step in and help me read the putt and just confirm my line.

Hole 8 and hole 9 he did that. Yeah. It went in, so very happy.
