Jeeno Thitikul

Quick Quotes

Q. How do you enjoy the round today?

JEENO THITIKUL: Yes, I do enjoy. It's a little frustrating a little bit because I miss some putts and then I think like I'm too easy to fall on some holes.

But overall, still under par so I just happy about that.

Q. And you still feel you have a good chance over the weekend?

JEENO THITIKUL: Yes. I mean, like I definitely think like golf you always have a chance, and I do have 36 hole left, which mean I definitely have a chance left to play like on the weekend.

But, you know, this course is really makable course, so I think definitely if you really want to be in contention you need to hit like so low round.

Q. So I notice from the 3rd to the 8th hole you went birdie, bogey, birdie, bogey, birdie, bogey.

JEENO THITIKUL: Yes, I know. That's why it's frustrating a little bit. Like it did have some good but it did have some, you know, like frustrating shots that I was like oh, I shouldn't miss this.

But overall I think I need to stay on the positive side of it.

Q. Tomorrow, same game plan or maybe a bit more aggressive?

JEENO THITIKUL: I think I trying to be aggressive on every single hole that I have here, because, you know, it's no cut, the course and the green wasn't that like bounce. It's kind of soft so you can be aggressive on the pin.

And then I think just like the same game plan that I have but like trying to, you know, make some putts.

Q. On the second nine you seemed to become a little bit more consistent. Was that when your putting started to improve or...

JEENO THITIKUL: I think just because it's just like easy mistake that I make on the front nine, which is like, you know, like I don't think it's going to cross too much. I don't want to take it to personal.

So I think that back nine just kind of (indiscernible) my game.

Q. I was in Dubai last week with Fifa Laopakdee. He talked about you as his role model and hero and how close your families are. Can you tell us a little bit about your relationship with him and how you followed his victory last week?

JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, I just really happy for him. Just saw the news that he won last week in Dubai which is, you know, like kind of hard to do, you know, like you just play alongside the best amateur in the world.

But he get it done by, you know. Excited to see, and definitely all Thai fans really proud of him. We do proud of him too as his sister. Am I older than him I think?

Q. Two years.

JEENO THITIKUL: Two years, yes. I think he have grown a lot and then like his game have improve a lot since we met in the Thailand National Team. And I just been rooting for him and cheering for him no matter where we are.

I think I also have been rooting for all the Thai players, so not just on my tour but on every tour.

Q. Did you manage to watch any of the Asian Amateur and have you been in touch with him since he won?

JEENO THITIKUL: Not really because we men's and women's. On the team I'll stay in like the women's side and he is on the men's side. I think back then he's kind of a child, kids. Like he's not really talkative that much. I think he's younger than me so he kind of respect me.

Well, but I didn't watch. I have been busy thinking about last week in International Crown.
