Q. You're basically the only one in the league these days -- East Bay, in games.
OBI TOPPIN: Are you going to see one in the Finals?
Q. Are we going to see one in the Finals?
OBI TOPPIN: don't know. Maybe. It depends. We have to be up by a lot.
Q. Why do you think we don't see more guys do it? Is it because they can't or don't have the audacity?
OBI TOPPIN: Confidence. I think it's a confidence thing. If you miss it, it's an NBA game. You feel me?
Q. I wanted to ask about Lloyd (Pierce), his impact on the team and the roster, what he's been able to help you with.
OBI TOPPIN: L.P. has been been amazing ever since I got here. He helped me tremendously understand what I need to do offensively to help this team win. He does that with all the guys. He's super willing to help everybody. He wants to see everybody succeed.
He's been amazing. Our offense is what it is because of him and Coach Carlisle.
Q. What stands out about the Thunder defense?
OBI TOPPIN: They're super physical. They're annoying (smiling). But they're young. They're young and they're just in your mess. I don't want to say S-H, but y'all know what I'm going to say. They're just in you the whole game. It's annoying.
But we have guys like that, too, that annoy other players.
Q. What do you know about this arena, playing here before?
OBI TOPPIN: It's loud. They got great fans. But we have better fans and amazing fans, as well. Can't wait to get this started.
Q. It's just another game, but how do you actually prepare for an NBA final?
OBI TOPPIN: Like you said, it's just another game. We approach it the same way we approach every other game. But in the back of our minds, we know we have to limit all the mistakes. We don't want to have any mistakes in the Finals. We want to be as perfect as we can be. Nobody is perfect. We're not going to be perfect. There are going to be mess-ups here and there. We just have to learn how to get to the next play and keep going.
