Knicks 105, Spurs 104
Q. Can you talk about what happened, maybe miscommunication with Wemby that caused the turnover?
STEPHON CASTLE: I was looking at him when he first got the rebound. I just started to take off to try to give him some space to dribble up the court. I didn’t see him throw it to me.
Q. It looked like you might’ve thought Mitch was going to call a timeout. Did you look over there? Did that come into play at all?
STEPHON CASTLE: At that point, I’m just running up the court. I see Vic has the ball. Tie game. I’m just trying to give him space. Whether he called it or not, I was just trying to give Vic space.
Q. You sat for five of the last six minutes after that ugly-looking fall. Were you hurt at all?
STEPHONE CASTLE: I was all right. I think I kind of tweaked my ankle a little bit. But it started to feel good after I warmed it up.
Q. Mitch thought you were getting caught too much in the air, a little too indecisive with what to do with the ball. Was that an issue tonight?
STEPHON CASTLE: Yeah, that’s fair. I think just trying to overthink some reads sometimes. I got caught in traffic, especially deep in the paint. It’s something that I can go back and look at and see how I can fix it.
Q. Thoughts on the final shot from Wemby? Did you like the look? Was that the play that was drawn up?
STEPHON CASTLE: Yeah, he’s made that shot a thousand times. He has a game-winner with that shot this year. Yeah, I’ll take that shot every day.
Q. Down 0-2 going to their building, what’s it going to take to get back into the series?
STEPHON CASTLE: It was going to take everything to win the series anyway. Putting ourselves in this type of predicament is going to be tough, but I don’t think it’s anything we can’t handle.
