Josh Hart

Game 2: Postgame

Knicks 105, Spurs 104

Q: What was it like to be a part of a game like that with all of the ebbs and flows? Momentum going your way and then momentum going against you and you guys find a way to pull it out in the end.

JOSH HART: That was a crazy game. The contributions of everybody – Landry, Deuce, obviously Mikal, OG, Mitch two huge stops, KAT, JB. Man, it was an all-around team effort. We’ve got to be better through execution, so we’ll watch film and learn from that. It’s good to learn from a win.

Q: Can you describe the level of physicality and intensity that this game had tonight?

JOSH HART: Yeah, obviously for me, too much physicality. But that’s kind of what you expect from a team obviously in the Finals. They lost Game 1, so you knew they were going to come out with physicality and a sense of urgency and desperation. I feel like we did a pretty good job in that regard, but we can do better.

Q: How good does it feel to go back home up 2-0?

JOSH HART: It’s still 0-0 as far as we’re concerned. Being up 2-0 means really nothing. This team is going to come out on Monday with an unbelievable amount of energy and desperation, and we’ve got to be better.

Q: What can you say about the performance from Mikal on both ends of the floor tonight?

JOSH HART: You can’t say enough about him. I’m not surprised about it. I don’t think anyone else is surprised or should be surprised. That’s what he does. He’s a winning basketball player. He makes big-time shots, big-time stops. He takes the challenge and he’s a hell of a basketball player.
