Q. Can you talk a little bit about your season overall? Obviously not the outcome you wanted today, but still a huge year for Northwestern. What do you have to say about that?

IZZY SCANE: Yeah, I think this year was definitely very hard with just COVID and everything, and I think obviously it's not the outcome we were looking for, but I'm super, super, super proud of our team and just the adversity that we went through and the grace with which we handled it, and I think every single person on our team deserves to be praised for kind of how we handled the whole situation. Sometimes things don't pan out how you're hoping they would, but I think we did a lot and all grew a lot as people and as a team and as a program collectively, and I think that's definitely something to be proud of and we'll definitely take forward into years after.

Q. You had a good game but their defense was really relentless. What were you seeing out of that defense and what kind of issues were they posing for you guys?

IZZY SCANE: Yeah, I think they're definitely a good defense. They're high pressure and swarm, but I think more the people was just our offense playing a little scared knowing what's what their defense was going to do. I think if we had played completely our game, it would have been a little different, and I think obviously Syracuse did what they were trying to do in terms of messing with our offense a little bit. But I still think we got some good looks, I just think overall it was not our best day, and it's not a great time to not have our best day, unfortunately.

Q. Your being a junior, do you feel like your team is ready to go for next year and this is just a bump in the road and you guys can just basically fix it?

IZZY SCANE: I mean, we're losing a couple amazing, amazing players and people that are -- we're definitely going to feel the loss, just personnel-wise, but we do have a pretty young team this year, and I think next year we'll definitely be back swinging. I think we learned a lot from this year and we have a lot of players returning that make a big difference on the field and have played with each other for a while now, so I think going into next year that's definitely something to build on, and I think we'll definitely take what we've learned from the players that aren't going to be returning and use it next year.

Q. You guys winning 14 games in a season like this in a pandemic, I want to give you guys congratulations. I know it's not the way you want to end it, but sticking together was fairly tough this year.

IZZY SCANE: Yeah, thank you, I appreciate it.
