THE MODERATOR: We're joined by Caitlynn Mossman.

Q. What's it like winning here in your home backyard?

CAITLYNN MOSSMAN: It's really cool. It's been weird being, like, here with the whole team. Because, I mean, I've never been on an away trip to my hometown with my whole team here. I'm used to being in the car, but we're on the bus driving through the neighborhood. So it's really cool having all my family and friends cheering me on. And it's so awesome. It's so awesome to be here in my hometown.

Q. It must be exciting. Did you get any of your friends keep calling you, hey are you home for a while, are you going to come over? You didn't get any of that, right?

CAITLYNN MOSSMAN: They know how it is, with COVID especially. We've been in the hotel this whole time and practicing with the team. So, yeah, definitely be home with them soon, though.

Q. You played a pretty notable role in facilitating the offense today against that Syracuse backer zone. What was it that you saw that allowed you to kind of exploit some things in the middle? Obviously you've seen this team four times now. Maybe it's familiarity. But if you wouldn't mind just sharing some details about BCU's offensive approach today?

CAITLYNN MOSSMAN: Like you said, we've played them four times. We've been scouting this defense for a while now. I really give all the credit to the cutters in the middle and my teammates, like Belle Smith and Jenn Medjid. They're great inside.

We just worked on the little slips not the big cuts, because the defense, like, they go track back to their spots. So I really just can keep my head up and rely on my teammates to cut and I know I'll find them in the middle wide open off of their good work, so...

Q. You had a big game, four assists, a goal. What does it mean to you to have one of your best games of the year or such a big game like that in the biggest game of the year?

CAITLYNN MOSSMAN: Like Hollie said, I rely all -- I give all the credit to my teammates. I play with, I think, the best three attackers in the nation, Charlotte, Jenn and Cara. I really relied on them all season. I think they give me the confidence and that's why I was able to have like a great game today.

And also with the defense, I feel like they made such great stops, and we realized we needed to finish for them.

So really that's what I stepped up for. And I realize I need to do that for my teammates on the defensive end.

Q. Hollie made it a point to say this was for all BC players who had come before her. What about for your coaches, for Acacia, how good does it feel to deliver a championship for her?

CAITLYNN MOSSMAN: Amazing. I can't describe how much we work for them during practice. We want to bring it home to them. This is like the ultimate goal is to -- obviously for our teammates, but for our coaches. And we, like, have so much faith in them in how they coach us and we just want to make them proud. So I can't explain how happy I am to bring it home to them.

THE MODERATOR: Thank you.
