Q. Tell me a little bit about your round today, two days of good golf, two days of staying in contention.
SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, I didn't hit -- I hit the ball well again today. Yesterday I hit the ball incredible. It was one of my best ball-striking rounds I think I've had. But with the wind it made it difficult to hit fairways today, so it was hard to really get in a rhythm out there.
Overall I thought I did a really good job of when I got in the rough, just getting it on the green and two-putting. Yeah, overall I'm really happy with the golf so far.
Q. Kind of a quick analysis of the golf course; I think probably the easiest conditions was yesterday. Now we have wind, we're going to have rain, and I don't know what we're going to have, but it's tough.
SEPP STRAKA: I'm sure something on Sunday. But yeah, it's brutal. The wind today made it so hard to hit the fairways. I had a couple back-to-back drives on 16 and 17 where I thought it was dead in the middle, landed in the perfect spot, and just the fairways are so firm, it just rolled right in the rough. There's not much stopping the ball out there right now other than the rough, and when you get in the rough, it's really tough to score. Yeah, it's playing pretty hard.
Q. I don't know if there's a precedent of you being in a position like this in a major, and how do you feel about it?
SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, it's definitely my best first couple days I've had in a major championship. My first one at U.S. Open, I think I played pretty well the first couple days. But yeah, I think you've just got to approach it kind of like a regular tournament. With this one, it's so hard to get ahead of yourself anyway because any hole you can make a bogey so you've got to stay on top of it, just got to stay in the present. I feel like as hard as this course is, it kind of makes it easier to do that.
