Q. How would you describe what you experienced out there today?
RORY McILROY: Didn't hit the ball well at all. Thought I did really well to shoot what I did, especially with where my third shot was, and where I was lying -- off the second -- (no mic) -- to make that shot up the hill and save par there and then move on.
Q. How do you describe the challenge that this presented?
RORY McILROY: Yeah, it's tough. I mean, a lot of crosswinds. Felt like it was pretty tricky to hit fairways, even some of the decent drives that I hit were just missing the fairways, like the drive on there, once you're in this rough, it's just a matter of trying to hit up somewhere near the green and make par.
I actually expected the scoring to be a little bit better today than what it is. I think that's just, you know, as I said, a lot of crosswinds, tricky to hit fairways. But I think if you can get the ball in the fairways, you've options.
