Q. So tell me about the round. What well today?
THOMAS PIETERS: I played really well. At the end I was just kind of loose off the tee. But yeah, very, very happy with how I played today.
Q. There's something at the start of the majors that you are always up there. Is it the momentum when you come to the majors?
THOMAS PIETERS: I just really like the challenge, the toughness of a major. I really enjoy that. If you're not on, if you don't have the balls to do it, then you're going to kind of fade away.
So, yeah, very happy with today, and hopefully I can keep it going.
Q. Talking about that, how much balls do you need for this golf course?
THOMAS PIETERS: Some of the lines off the tees, you really need to commit. If you are even 1 percent unsure, you are going to have some bad shots here.
Q. Any prediction of what could happen this week? This was supposed to be the easiest day. We have three days coming. What's going to happen?
THOMAS PIETERS: It's going to be brutal. I think anyone finishing under par is going to have a chance.
