Angel Cabrera

THE MODERATOR: 2025 Senior PGA Champion, Angel Cabrera is with us now. Angel, welcome to The Concession. How has the week been so far, and how does it feel to be here as our defending champion?

ANGEL CABRERA: Good morning, everyone, yes, it feels very good to be here after last year. My expectations are very high. I'm glad to be here.

THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. Angel, everybody is talking about the dinner last night and the expectations about the Argentinian Asados.

ANGEL CABRERA: Yeah, we had a great night. We enjoyed everyone. The steak, it was really good.

Yes, we enjoyed. We have fun.

Q. What do you enjoy the most about the company, about being with our champions? You've done the dinner in Augusta too. With a group of seniors and people that have been around for a long time, what do you enjoy about that?

ANGEL CABRERA: Yes, I enjoyed this. I've been with these guys for so many years, 30 years, so we had a great time.

Q. Angel, you're one of a handful of golfers that made the trip here straight from Augusta. Is there any comparison to what you can do at Augusta to get ready for this?

ANGEL CABRERA: Yes, Augusta is over, so I'm just focused on this. Hope to have a great week.

Q. What is the key to success on this golf course at Concession?

ANGEL CABRERA: Yes, it's a very tough course with the first shot from the tee and the small greens. You have to be very cautious when you're striking to the green.

Q. How challenging are the greens here?

ANGEL CABRERA: Yes, they are fast, and we have to locate the ball very well, because they have a lot of movement and they are very fast.

Q. How many drivers will you hit, and how aggressive will you play?

ANGEL CABRERA: Yes, it depends, you know, but there are some tee shots that I can drive, but then some others that I can use an iron, but it depends.

Q. You've always been a long hitter of the ball, long drives, long distance, but now we have all these guys joining 50 coming in. Stewart Cink was talking yesterday about 3-something. How do you feel about these guys and the pressure from that?

ANGEL CABRERA: I just do my game. I'm not seeing the others, these guys that are turning 50. I just do my game and try to play my best.

Q. I know it wasn't your best week at Augusta last week, but the things that you practiced or the things that you used in Augusta, how are they going to serve you here this week?

ANGEL CABRERA: Yes, there's two different golf courses, so I'm just focused on what I have to do now. The ball striking is good, so I'm feeling well.
