Q. Start by talking about the conditions, a little windy, a little softer out there. How did it play for you?
DANIEL BERGER: Obviously the greens are soft so you can hold the greens out of the rough, but as the week goes on, if there's less rain in the forecast, which I'm not sure, it should be tougher. Any time you get wind around here, it's just tough to hit the fairway, and when you're playing out of the rough, you just can't give yourself that many opportunities. Unless you're Jordan and you just keep chipping in and making putts.
No, it was a good start to the tournament.
Q. Anything you've got to work on between now and when you tee off tomorrow?
DANIEL BERGER: Just a little putting, and if I play the same way I did today, I can shoot 4- or 5-under tomorrow.
Q. You were in an interesting pairing today. Talk about the dynamics between the group and obviously Phil coming off the high of what he did.
DANIEL BERGER: Jordan played great. Obviously he finished really strongly. I know it's tough for Phil to come back after winning last week. Mentally it's draining. Just a fun group, so excited to be a part of it.
