THE MODERATOR: Joel, congratulations. Your first career ace on tour today. Can you talk through your reaction when you saw the ball go in?
JOEL DAHMEN: A little surprised. It's kind of back in a bowl today, so you can hit one close, but when it disappears, you're pretty shocked. Nine years out here, that's a lot of par 3 attempts. A lot have looked good, and to finally go in was pretty cool.
THE MODERATOR: Was were the crowd reactions when it went in?
JOEL DAHMEN: It was great. Everyone kind of had a different perspective on what was going on there. Nate Lashley said he saw the guy stand up in the back, and that's when he knew it was getting really close. I was watching the ball the whole time. You can't really tell how close it is, but it was great.
Then walking up to the green was really cool. To get a standing ovation on your fourth hole of the week is really special.
THE MODERATOR: Are you going to celebrate tonight?
JOEL DAHMEN: Well, unfortunately, I played more golf after that, and it didn't go very well. I'm going to celebrate by putting my little man to bed tonight. I'm going to wake up early, try to make a bunch of birdies, and try to play the weekend. Then, if not, I might celebrate tomorrow afternoon.
