THE MODERATOR: Another solid round, putting yourself in contention to win tomorrow. What do you take away from today?
RICKIE FOWLER: Just did a really good job of hanging in there today. Made some good putts on the front, kind of continue the round from going the wrong direction.
It was a tough day. Kind of gusty and breezy and made it tough to, one, hit fairways, to hit greens, and then putting can be a little difficult or at least making putts when it is gusty like that.
So, yeah, you always want more, but happy with the day and not falling further behind, giving myself a chance going into tomorrow.
THE MODERATOR: Your putting has improved. We just heard you talking to Amanda upstairs about it. Only one blemish today on 12. Would you say that was due to putting or another reason for the bogey?
RICKIE FOWLER: I mean, I hit a good putt. It was kind of gusting downwind. I did hit it a little bit too hard, but the wind kind of made that look a lot worse than it was.
I hit a great putt coming back. I was a little off on the read. Yeah, it's a tough one to swallow. You never want to have a three-putt. It wasn't like I was that far away either, but a lot of good stuff other than that this week on the greens.
Yeah, I feel like we have a few more to make tomorrow.
THE MODERATOR: When you look at the leaderboard, you have a lot of experience in the final round compared to some of the others you'll be up against. Do you have a good amount of confidence going into tomorrow?
RICKIE FOWLER: Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I mean, I haven't been far off for quite a while. I've seen glimpses here and there of some really good golf. Very comfortable around this place. I've been around here a lot and really enjoy playing at Colonial.
So, yeah, looking forward to tomorrow. Everyone is very good, so experience does help, but we've got a couple of guys that are out there a little ways in front of me, and see if we can go chase them down.
