Quick Quotes

Q. Kind of your thoughts on how you feel going into the weekend being tied for the lead?

BEAU HOSSLER: Yeah, I played well. I'll be shocked if that's leading at the end of the day. It's playing pretty easy today with the wind being down and the greens as pure as they are.

But yeah, played a solid round. Nothing too exciting like yesterday, but hit a lot of greens, probably hit 15 or 16 greens, and just made the round relatively stress free.

Q. Not many days like this; does it feel good to take advantage of it and kind of get through and have the score that you posted?

BEAU HOSSLER: Yeah, for sure. I'm not someone that really tries to put a score in mind. The fact is you've got to always just take what the course gives you, and depending on the conditions, some days that's a lot and some days that's a little. Today that's a lot. With that being said, I wasn't trying to do anything overly aggressive. I was just kind of taking what the course gave me, put the ball in play a fair amount and got some really good looks and made a few putts. That's kind of all you can do.

Q. How does it feel going into -- after the exciting finish yesterday, you had two eagle 2s after two bogeys. Talk about how it felt going into today after finishing like that yesterday.

BEAU HOSSLER: Yeah, I hadn't holed out in shoot, I don't know how long, but to have two within an hour was pretty unique. Certainly yesterday was more of an up-and-down round. Today felt frankly -- never really stress-free, but as stress-free as it's going to get. It felt like I was in play. I never was that out of position. Yesterday I was kind of grinding more. The wind was tricky. A lot of places here on this course you kind of get tucked back in the trees and you can't feel the wind. You know it's up there, but you have to trust it, and I don't think I did a great job of that yesterday. With the wind forecasted this weekend, hopefully I can learn from that.

Q. I heard you say a minute ago, bring it on? You're okay with the wind?

BEAU HOSSLER: Yeah, to be honest, from my perspective, the harder the golf course plays, I think it favors me. I've never been a player that thrives on shooting 30-under par in a tournament. I think generally you go down to like Florida and we play the Honda and Bay Hill and tournaments like that where pars are good. I've felt pretty comfortable.

Like I said, even though it's not windy today, this golf course, it can get away from you quick if you're not in the fairway. Just got to stay patient. Hopefully it plays difficult, and smart strategy and good commitment and good execution is what will come out on top.

Q. Jordan was saying 5-under on the weekend would get him at 10-under, put him in the mix. Do you feel like 10-under-ish could win this?

BEAU HOSSLER: I've got to be honest, I haven't looked at the forecast personally. Rex just told me it was supposed to blow about 25. I'd expect the lead after today to be in the double digits. That's my expectation. Shoot, I don't know. I mean, yeah, feasibly, yes.

You look at what happened at Southern Hills the last week of the PGA, I want to say the 36-hole score was lower than the winning score, was it not? It was close at least. So there you go, you never know.

I'm tired of predicting because I've been right and I've been dead wrong, so I don't know what it's going to be. I'm going to say we will see on Sunday. It could be 8-under, it could be 20. We'll see.
