Quick Quotes

SEBASTIAN MUÑOZ: I was very pleased. It's never easy showing up the day after you shoot 8-under and you see how it goes. I thought I had a really good start. Putter went a little cold on the back but happy where I am and really positive the way I hit the ball.

Q. What do you see is working well for you?

SEBASTIAN MUÑOZ: I think the ball-striking is definitely helping, and my iron play is strong right now. But I think my mind, as well, is clicking into place. I feel like the last couple weeks I didn't have the performance I wanted, and I managed to somehow not lower my expectations but kind of take it one shot at a time instead of like the whole score at the end of the day, so that's really been helping.

Q. (Inaudible.)

SEBASTIAN MUÑOZ: Yeah, totally. Spin is a huge thing. I'm definitely starting to feel more comfortable on it. I would like to be more in the lead than usual, but it's a good position, and you learn, you kind of stay in the moment, don't get ahead of yourself and just keep going on.

Q. When you took the lead yesterday you bounced Villegas off the leaderboard. I'm guessing that's somebody you've looked up to?

SEBASTIAN MUÑOZ: Yeah, totally. Camilo has been the Colombian golfer forever since I was a kid, He's someone that helped me a lot when I came on TOUR first. He's always someone I can call and he'll pick up the phone and give me his best advice. It's someone I care about, I like him, and he's a good buddy.

Q. (Inaudible).

SEBASTIAN MUÑOZ: Basically just kind of do things my own style, don't try to emulate some other players, mind my own business, keep my head down, keep going. Things get tough, ups and downs. You've got to keep moving forward and stay in the present.

Q. It seems like we're seeing more and more South American players. Is the Latin America Tour having an impact?

SEBASTIAN MUÑOZ: Yeah, I believe so. I feel like a lot of technology has come also our way. We have a little more instruction. The kids are getting better. Instead of kind of waiting all the way to college, they start getting better. So I feel like that's helped. The Tour has helped. Having players out here has helped a lot, Abe, Joako, Carlos, me, the Argentinians, so it's starting to pop up a little more, and hopefully it continues.
