THE MODERATOR: Great round today. If we could just start off with a couple of highlights and just kind of recap of the day.
LUDVIG ABERG: Yeah, it was fun. I chipped in on the first hole. That was fun. Airmailed the green on 10 with a wedge, and I wasn't too happy, but I ended up chipping in. So that was nice to get off to a hot start.
I think overall it was pretty steady. I hit a lot of nice shots to the right spots. It was pretty stress-free, so looking forward to the weekend. It's going to be a lot of fun.
THE MODERATOR: Coming off of last week, got a lot of good mojo going. Is it just a nice carry-over?
LUDVIG ABERG: Yeah, I think so. Last week was such a fun experience for me to be in that position, which I hadn't really been in before. So I think I'm going to use a lot of those experiences to my advantage this week.
Hopefully I'll be able to keep it simple and play some good golf as well.
THE MODERATOR: Questions.
Q. Ludvig, when we talked in the RBC Canadian Open, you talk about how it's been a whirlwind couple of weeks for you, couple of months for you even, and it hasn't slowed down. Have you been able to find a bit of comfort out here on the tour? I know it's been crazy. You've been running around all over the place, but what's that transition been like for you, and do you feel more situated out here now?
LUDVIG ABERG: It's been a change, to say the least. It's not exactly the same as a college event, but I try to embrace it. I try to have fun with it.
It's been a busy couple of weeks, and I expect it to be busy the next couple of weeks as well. All I can do is have fun with it and try to play as good of golf as I can.
Q. Like you said, you've been playing really good golf. Does that make the transition a little bit easier?
LUDVIG ABERG: I think so. I think so. Playing well takes care a lot of things, but all I want to do is put together four good rounds and see where that takes me.
Q. Have you let thoughts of the Ryder Cup slip into your mind at all? If you are able to keep playing well, you would be able to be probably a captain's pick. Has that slipped in your mind at all?
LUDVIG ABERG: Not really. If you would have told me a month ago that I was going to be selected to the Ryder Cup, I wouldn't believe you.
So obviously all I can do is prepare for every tournament as good as I can and try to execute my game plan, but we'll see where that comes. And if it comes, great; if not, I'll be pretty happy anyways.
Q. Obviously fairly new to this course. What did you learn in yesterday's round that you were able to apply today that might have helped you shoot the round you did today?
LUDVIG ABERG: I think any time you play a course -- when you come back to a course you've already played, it's easier. Yesterday we did a few, especially off the tee where the ball went a little bit further than we thought it would. So corrected that today and ended up hitting a lot of fairways, which is pretty important when you play a course like this because if you do, you get a lot of chances.
So I felt like we did that great today. Hopefully we'll be able to keep that up next couple of days.
Q. Did it seem like the course played fairly easy this morning in the benign conditions?
LUDVIG ABERG: I enjoy the little coolness, to be fair. It was kind of nice, but greens are fairly soft. They're pretty receptive.
If you are playing well and you are hitting your shots, you get a lot of chances. Luckily, today I was able to take advantage of it, but I expect it to get a little bit firmer over the weekend. You still need to hit good shots to get around here.
Q. It seemed like everybody in the group was playing well. Did that make it a little easier to get things going and stay focused and keep that momentum going?
LUDVIG ABERG: Oh, yeah, for sure. Obviously Cameron is playing really well. I just try to keep up with him. He kind of set the pace.
When you see putts going in from all over the place, it's a lot of fun. You get excited. I was able to make a few myself, so it made it a little bit easier.
But, you know, all I can do is try to play as well as I can and see where that takes me.
Q. Did you use driver less today than you did yesterday, or did you just kind of adjust your swing?
LUDVIG ABERG: Did I use driver less?
Q. Yes.
LUDVIG ABERG: It was a little bit of a different wind today, so it was coming from a different direction. So I didn't hit less drivers, I think. It's just different spots, different lines. I think any time you've played a course a few times, it gets a little bit easier.
We used a few different tee boxes today, especially on 4. That comes to mind. Changes it up a little bit, but I have my caddie, Jack. He is doing a great job of sorting thing out to make it easy for me.
Q. Have you had any Chik-fil-a this week?
LUDVIG ABERG: I have not, actually. I had Chipotle though, but no Chick-fil-a.
