Emiliano Grillo

Quick Quotes

Q. Set yourself up well for tomorrow. Does it change the mentality knowing you're within a couple shots of the lead now?

EMILIANO GRILLO: Not really. I mean, I'll take 6-under par any day. We'll go with that.

How about that?

Q. How tiring is it when you know you got to go 65, 66, 64 every day to put yourself in contention?

EMILIANO GRILLO: That's the PGA Tour. If you're shooting 68, 69 you're falling behind. You got to look at that 67, 66 range, especially out here with soft greens and perfect conditions.

I mean, there is barely any wind and the guys who are shooting lower than 3-under par on the front, they're playing really well; the opportunities are mostly on the back nine.

And that's kind of the strategy for me, to go under par somehow on the front nine and make the most on the back nine.

Q. Any thoughts about what's at stake tomorrow? Obviously a win, Open Championship berth.

EMILIANO GRILLO: Yeah, I mean, I said it yesterday. It is what it is. If I qualify, good. If I don't, I'll keep grinding.

That's the plan every week is to win. The plan every week is to make the most in relation to what I have that week.

So obviously things are working this week, and the plan is to go win tomorrow.

Q. Not a lot of guys in the top 15, top 20 with wins. Do you feel like having had that experience could be an advantage for you?

EMILIANO GRILLO: I wouldn't say experience. I haven't won in seven years now.

So obviously being in position, I've been there a few times. Obviously there is an advantage there.

But if you're there after three rounds, you have enough experience. You have enough game. Everybody is in the same situation. Everybody wants to win. Everybody wants to make the most out of it.

Definitely going to be a tough battle tomorrow.
