Q. How would you characterize your round today?
IAN POULTER: Hot and moist. And a few birdies, which was nice. I mean, it's been 11 years since I've played here, which is quite crazy when I think about it. I played for a number of years and pretty much liked the place but never had a finish, and then obviously as soon as the family came to stay this side of the pond full-time, we used to go back to the UK for the summer. Jack's event pretty much always got kind of pushed to one side. To be able to come here and play two weeks in a row is really nice. We've got some slower greens this week, and I'm sure Jack is going to speed them up for us next week.
Q. How do you feel your game is kind of progressing here as we've come back from the quarantine?
IAN POULTER: I've felt good. I've felt refreshed. I feel fitter than I have in a number of years. So it actually gave us an opportunity to do a bit more work than obviously what we're used to, and that's kind of nice. I've always felt, even though I didn't hit balls for seven or eight weeks, kind of in that spell, I hit enough, and then when it was practice time, I felt good because I felt a bit stronger, felt a bit fresher, and my swing was more on line than what it normally is when I take a long layoff. I feel good about my game. I feel fresh, and I'm holing a few putts, and it's nice to see a few putts go in.
Q. Is that kind of the biggest thing is feeling fresh? Obviously you're ramping up to these big events, and we've got the major swing that's going to come here in the late summer, early fall.
IAN POULTER: I think what's been interesting is the uncertainty of who's going to come out fast, who's going to have weathered that break better than others, but when you look at the scoring, I think we've got a 4-under cut, 4-under cut, 4-under, 5-under. Looks like everyone has been practicing pretty hard. With that level of scoring, I think everybody is ready to go. I think we've been eager at home honing our game, and I think that's kind of reflected in the scoring.
