Q. Viktor, when you were 3-over through 10 holes, could you have imagined being two back going into Sunday?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: No, I think if you would have asked me that after 10 holes, I definitely would have said yes to that. Yeah, it's really cool to be in this position after that bad start because a couple weeks -- the past couple weeks I've had good first rounds and have kind of been up by the lead early on, but I've been kind of falling off. I'm really proud of kind of how I was able to turn it around and just kind of play better and better every single day.
Q. Was there a point where you saw where that turnaround was and kind of said, hey, this is coming, I see where these rounds are going to go?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Not really. You just kind of -- you try to do the best you can every single hole. Sometimes it just doesn't want to go in. It doesn't want to go your way. You know, I made the bogey on my 10th hole, No. 1 out here, and I knew the front nine is pretty gettable if you hit the ball well. That's what I did. The next couple holes I made a couple of birdies right away and I made another one on the par-5, and that's kind of when I felt in a good spot.
Q. You talked about how you want your driving to improve. Is there something that you need to maybe tweak before tomorrow to kind of figure out --
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, there's not a whole lot that you can tinker with before playing the next day. You want to keep it very simple. If I can just maybe find a little feel here and there, that's going to help me a little bit. That's kind of all I need.
Q. You picked up the sport a little over a decade ago. When did you realize that you were kind of gifted and you could pursue it as a career?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, that's a good question. I've kind of always naturally doubted myself a little bit, but I think until when I won the U.S. Amateur, that really kind of gave me the belief that I have something to do in this game.
Q. Has your start to your pro career surprised you at all, how much success you've had?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: I would say so. I've been pretty happy with the spot that I'm in. If you would have asked me just a year ago, had my first pro start at Travelers last year, and to already have a win and my TOUR card is pretty awesome.
Q. What will you draw on from past experiences tomorrow to hopefully get win No. 2?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, obviously you've just got to keep it simple. Don't try and do anything that I don't think I can do. Just hit the shots that I'm comfortable with. You know, it's a little bit of luck, as well. You've got to get the putts to go your way, and some bounces need to go your way. But if I can just hit good shots, that's going to put me in a good position.
