Bo Hoag

Quick Quotes

Q. Bo, how satisfying was it to shoot that back nine after the start that you had? It was a little bit of a different start.

BO HOAG: Yeah, yeah, it was a tough start. Just kind of got into some tough positions on the front nine, and this golf course if you're out of position, doesn't matter who you are, is just going to present a challenge. The good news is when you hit good shots, you're very much rewarded, so a little different story on the back nine with that.

Q. Just talk a little bit about that shot on the last hole, the third shot. The stance looked pretty awkward. Just run us through that.

BO HOAG: Yeah, so anything short of that 18th green on the front pin is going to roll a ways back, and I've seen that happen a lot of times over the years. Fortunately at first, I saw it stay in the rough, kind of close to the green, but then when I got in the stance it was super difficult, and it would have been very easy to just lay it right in front of you and have it roll. It could roll all the way back down the fairway. Kind of hit a good shot about six feet behind the hole and was able to save the par.

Q. Is it kind of surreal out there, the quietness, obviously without fans, and sometimes you catch yourself thinking what's happening out here?

BO HOAG: Yeah, it's just kind of weird. It's a little eerie. I want to share the experience of playing in my hometown PGA TOUR event with my friends and family. You know, I know they're watching on ShotLink or TV or whatever, but I know that they're following along.

Q. Plans for tomorrow, afternoon tee time?

BO HOAG: Yeah, pretty late tee time. You know, probably just go back home, hang out with my wife a little bit and just live our normal life and then come back out here and play a tournament again. Yeah, it'll be good.
