Q. Got off to a great start today. Obviously this golf course has been renovated since the last time we were here. Did you enjoy it out there today?
ADAM LONG: Well obviously, yeah. It was nice to have a lot of birdie opportunities and good looks and it's in such good shape that if you can give yourself enough birdie chances that some of them are going to go in.
Q. Good week last week down in Fort Worth. Got off to a good start this year and then struggled a little bit. What have you found in the last couple weeks that has got you going in the right direction?
ADAM LONG: Yeah, it's been kind of a combination of things. I definitely had a slump or whatever you want to call it for awhile where I was struggling to score under par and make cuts and stuff. But my coach and my caddie stuck with me and we just kind of kept digging it out of the dirt and kept grinding away, knowing that things are going to change at some point, we just didn't know when. Made a little adjustment with my irons the last week with a lie adjustment that seemed to help a lot too. So things started clicking early last week and I feel kind of back to myself now.
Q. I heard that on Monday you had an interesting situation happen out at the par-515 the. Obviously you're playing a practice round and of course Mr. Nicklaus is driving up behind the green. How did that sort of conversation go or what were you feeling at that moment as he just watched you play this new hole he designed?
ADAM LONG: It was pretty surreal. We were out playing a quick nine kind of late Monday afternoon, five o'clock maybe and we get to 14 green and we look up, I had to do kind of a double look, and it was Mr. Nicklaus sitting in a golf cart there on 15 tee just waiting for us. So we finished 14 and walk over and say hey and he's like, Hey, I just wanted to see somebody play 15, I hadn't seen it played yet. And I'm like, oh, boy. So it got my nerves pumping there pretty good early in the week for sure.
But we played that hole and he followed me all the way up and hit a bunch of chips around the green and talked about the changes to that hole. And then he went over to 16 as well and we probably hit three tee shots there on 16. Talking about the green change there.
So it went by quick, it was pretty surreal though, I mean obviously a hero of mine and being here at the Memorial Tournament having Mr. Nicklaus watch you play golf is, it's a pretty awesome experience.
Q. The golf course, obviously you've played here before. Is there anything that stands out about the renovations to you as a player?
ADAM LONG: Yeah, certainly I think the greens are just a lot more subtle. You I think you can get a -- they wanted them more pinable, more pin locations, but in doing so it made the greens a little flatter kind of around the edges. Some of the holes were extremely sloped and now have kind of been taken down a little bit. So I think the putting is a little simpler and maybe chipping around the greens it's not quite as fiery as it was in the past.
