Q. Still in a good position for tomorrow. How would you assess the day?
NICK TAYLOR: It was tricky. I was telling Dave, my caddie, on the 18th green I hit a lot of quality shots that were not ending up in very good spots. 12 specifically I thought I hit a really quality shot there and just kind of got gusted. I hit a lot of fairways, which was kind of key for me out here, and just had little specs of mud that I was just second-guessing a little bit of time that just was affecting enough that -- you have to be so precise out here that hitting it to 30, 40 feet is kind of difficult to make birdie. Hung in there well. Obviously that eagle was huge for the comeback.
Q. When's the last time you've had a full-swing holeout like that?
NICK TAYLOR: I think I holed out in Memphis last year with a 9-iron on maybe the 9th hole. It felt like awhile. It just disappeared so quickly, so I was kind of shocked. It's a great shock.
Q. When you have Scottie in the lead, does that -- obviously, anyone on TOUR can go out and get it, but knowing that you got to chase down someone who is playing some of the best golf of modern times, does that change your mind at all of what you think you might need to shoot tomorrow or do you not think about that?
NICK TAYLOR: Scottie's not that good, to be honest (laughing). No, it's a tough golf course. I'll be trying to chase him down. He's obviously playing phenomenal, so I'll have to play some of my best golf to be in the hunt there with the last few holes to go. But it is playing so difficult that, you know, being a few under early will get me back in there. So getting off to a little better start tomorrow will be the key.
Q. Did the conditions change for you from the start to the end?
NICK TAYLOR: The wind definitely died down a little bit, changed direction slightly. That was probably nice for 15 for me to be able to go for that in two. Yeah, it was just tricky all day, so it was a lot of 7-irons, 6-irons. Trying to hit those close, let alone on the green, is a task. So again, if I can be a little sharper tomorrow with the wedges into the greens. There was some that I thought I hit pretty nice, just ended up not ending up too close. But I was pretty happy with how I hit it, just the bounces didn't go my way.
Q. How tough were the pins to get to today?
NICK TAYLOR: Again, with the gusty winds early on is what made it the most difficult. There's always probably going to be six or seven pins out here I feel like that are gettable with the wedges and the way the contours are, but you still have to hit a really quality shot. If you don't, you can barely miss it and make a bogey very quickly. You just got to be precise.
Q. Your strategy tomorrow?
NICK TAYLOR: Nothing's going to change strategy-wise from tee to green. Just chase him down.
