THE MODERATOR: 11 plus for the day. Can you give me a general assessment how the opening round went?
ROGER SLOAN: Great. (Indiscernible) bogeyed the first (indiscernible) --
Q. You mentioned about the par-5, to take advantage of the par-4s and, 5s in this format.
ROGER SLOAN: I think so. I think this format obviously you want to be aggressive, probably favors to be an aggressive player. So when you have an opportunity to get some of those par-5s in two, you take advantage of it. And we were able to do that.
Q. Coming off your previous start, played well at 3M. This is a critical part to be playing well with your game. What's just been clicking?
ROGER SLOAN: I've actually been playing really well all year. I just haven't been able to kind of string four runs together. (Indiscernible) format I tend to play well at. Familiar with turf conditions. And I love it here in Truckee, this golf course, Old Greenwood here. Reminds me a lot of courses I play back in British Columbia. Good feel. I have the family here this week. Love hanging out here at Barracuda.
Q. Have you been able to do anything outside of the course?
ROGER SLOAN: Yes, we're staying up at North Star, the ski resort. Able to get on the lake Tuesday. Kids on the tube. And we spent the afternoon just doing that. Probably go out this afternoon, go to the top of the hill, take a gondola (indiscernible). This is great. Kids get to be outdoors (indiscernible).
Q. Is it helpful having a off week or a not so-called tournament last week with your game?
ROGER SLOAN: Joking with a couple of other players at breakfast, it's nice when you're on your couch and you're not going to back up on the FedExCup point list. It's a much needed break for all the players, been a pretty busy summer for a lot of guys. Yes, it's something we don't often get to do. It is pretty busy on the PGA TOUR this time of year.
Q. Tomorrow you play in the afternoon. Pose anything different?
ROGER SLOAN: Looks like the forecast is (indiscernible) a little less wind than today. It's kind of -- doesn't really matter, to be honest with you. Everybody's got to play in the afternoon; everybody's gotta play in the morning. It was nice to play in the morning. (Indiscernible) Tomorrow afternoon should be a fun day to be out there. The ball will be traveling a bit further in the afternoon than it does here in the morning because of the heat. So, yeah, tomorrow will be fun.
