Quick Quotes

Q. Solid start to the round; just kind of explain getting in a funk and starting off well.

HENRIK NORLANDER: Yeah, I didn't start too good, made bogey on the first and then found a bit of rhythm, made some good putts and hit some good shots, and sort of made a bad bogey on 2, a reachable par-5, but recovered well, but made some birdies and then nice three-putt on the last to finish. But pretty pleased.

Q. It's been a couple years since you've done this tournament but first time back to this course. Were you able to get some practice rounds in? How familiar with this course were you?

HENRIK NORLANDER: I played nine on Tuesday, nine yesterday, so not very familiar, but it's a great course. It's right in front of you. You stay in between the trees and you'll be fine.

Q. With this format do you go a little bit more aggressive for scoring opportunities?

HENRIK NORLANDER: Yeah, I've been playing really bad this year, so I think it's pretty nice you can let it go a little easier here because you make a bogey -- you make bogey-birdie, you're still picking up ground. It feels a little easier to recover, so for me it's a lot easier to let it go, I think.

Q. Winding down on the season, is there kind of a sense of added pressure to especially make the weekend and get a good run going?

HENRIK NORLANDER: You know, I've played so bad this year, I'm not really that worried about it. I mean, I've just got to play better. It's not really tougher than that. I've just got to play better.

Q. Any reason kind of the funk or anything you're tuning in or looking to focus on?

HENRIK NORLANDER: No, just struggling a little bit with my swing. Been driving it really poor all year, and just trying to get it in play. Iron game feels pretty good.
