Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Max McGreevy. Thanks so much for doing this today. As I mentioned, we are taking a KFT event to Oklahoma and OU's course. What do you think it'll mean for Oklahoma City community and Oklahoma golf fans to host a professional golf tournament on an annual basis?

MAX McGREEVY: Yeah, it's huge. Other than obviously they played at Southern Hills this last year, but I know we've been vying for a Korn Ferry event at Jimmy Austin there for a long time now. I know Coach Hybl is jacked up. I've talked to some of the grounds crew and stuff, and they're super excited. It's just kind of a golf state in general. I think you saw that at Southern Hills a little bit, and I think you'll see it at Jimmy Austin, as well.

Q. What are your thoughts on the Jimmy Austin Golf Club at the University of Oklahoma?

MAX McGREEVY: It's great. We just did about an $8, $10 million renovation on the thing my senior year of college, so unfortunately I just missed out on it, but it's in really good shape. They always take great care of it. I know if we ever have regionals or any tournaments, people are just loving to play it and have a lot of fun.

It's tricky, but you can get after it if you get it going. You can get some Oklahoma winds rolling in there in the summertime, though. We'll see, hopefully it won't be too hot, but it should be a lot of fun.

Q. What will the KFT members enjoy on and off the course?

MAX McGREEVY: Just the people I think in general, whether it be the volunteers who just kind of -- the city of Norman in general or if they kind of go down to Oklahoma City to see any parts of -- any other parts of Oklahoma, it's just great people, and that's what I love about the state. There's going to be so many just to be a part of it. It's going to be awesome.
