Quick Quotes

Q. On cruise control, taking the lead into tomorrow. How did it feel today?

CHEZ REAVIE: It was good. I hit the ball really well today for most of the day. Didn't really make many putts, had a lot of good looks and fortunately made a few in the middle and hit some bad shots coming in and was able to save some pars. Wasn't quite all together today but did everything well at different times.

Q. First bogey of the week on 15; walk me through that kind and recouping after that.

CHEZ REAVIE: Yeah, I was kind of in between clubs on the tee with the wind. Hit the right club, I just made a bad swing trying to hit it too hard. I didn't need to hit it -- luckily still carried, went into the bunker and hit a poor bunker shot. Then unfortunately had the thought of I hadn't made a bogey yet when I was reading my putt, and it kind of got in my head. Hit a bad putt there and made a bogey, but it happens, and I was able to save some good pars coming in.

Q. Top 10 a couple weeks ago at Travelers; what confidence did you gain there?

CHEZ REAVIE: Yeah, I'm hitting the ball well. I put in a new driver and a new putter at Travelers, drove it well, putted it well, so I'm going to lean on those again tomorrow. I drove it nicely today, made some good putts in the middle for pars coming in, so hopefully I'll make some birdies tomorrow.

Q. On those past wins, leading heading into the final round, how much are you going to draw on those experiences?

CHEZ REAVIE: Yeah, a lot. Definitely going to be some nerves in the morning, but just going out and trying to hit good solid shots and give myself good looks, and if I make some putts, I'll be in a good spot.

Q. In the modified Stableford format on a hole like 18 after driving it into a little bit of trouble, does your mental process change in any way or is it the same as it would be in stroke play?

CHEZ REAVIE: It was the same. I was kind of surprised it ended up there. Must have got a funny kick, but had a decent lie, just had some wispy grass I had to swing through and unfortunately grabbed the shaft and made me pull it. I knew that bunker was okay. I knew I had a chance to get it up-and-down from there and the fortunately I did.

Q. Is there anything in particular you feel like has been the one key part of your game this week that's propelled you, or is it more so well-rounded?

CHEZ REAVIE: I would say ball-striking. I've given myself a lot of looks every day. When I shot 9-under I made a lot of putts. Today I didn't quite make as many. The first day I didn't quite make as many. The first day I made an eagle which kind of saved me, and then I had that chip-in when I shot 9-under which saved me. Yeah, just looking to hit it in the fairways, knock it on the greens and give myself some looks.

Q. You've been playing this game for so long. Are you able to feel that you might have a week in the mix coming or does it feel more random?

CHEZ REAVIE: I've been playing well. I've been playing well for a while. I hit the ball well for a little bit and didn't really putt very well, and then yeah, I got a new putter at Travelers and I hit the ball well and putted well there, so yeah I'm just going to lean on that and hopefully do more of the same tomorrow.

Q. What type of putter are you playing with?

CHEZ REAVIE: I switched to a Ping putter.

Q. What type of putter?

CHEZ REAVIE: It's the PLD. I'm not sure the model name of the putter, but yeah, looks really good. They fit me for it, and it's a little flatter than my old putter was, and it seems to have really helped me.

Q. Being in the mix going into a Sunday do you feel any different in the morning or does it feel kind of the same?

CHEZ REAVIE: Yeah, for me, so I wake up and I'll be super excited. I almost -- I have to spend an hour or two at home just calming myself down because I'm so looking forward to coming out here and competing, and I can come out here and try too hard if I get too excited, so it's just come out here and kind of plot myself around and see what I can do.

Q. A lot of the chatter is Chez Fest. Have you heard about that?

CHEZ REAVIE: I have heard about Chez Fest, yeah. I had no idea about it until -- was it the week of Travelers I think someone brought it up to me. I love it. Chez Fest sounds like fun. Maybe I'll be a part of it.
