Quick Quotes

THE MODERATOR: Early in the morning, post a number. Coming off a great week from last week. How are you feeling after today?

NATHAN KIMSEY: Yeah, good. Just nice to get out there this morning and make a few putts early. Get a good score on the board and keep it rolling from last week of the.

THE MODERATOR: Great start last week in your PGA TOUR debut. Was it kind of a more of a letdown Sunday or just big takeaways?

NATHAN KIMSEY: Just big takeaways, not a letdown at all, really. Obviously a little tough to lose in the playoff, but to do what I did for the 18 holes on Sunday to even get there was great and the whole week as great. So, yeah, first week out here on the PGA TOUR, I can't complain.

THE MODERATOR: You kept it rolling. Where are you feeling strongest about your game right now?

NATHAN KIMSEY: Everything's pretty tidy, to be honest. Yeah, kind of I've driven it well most of the year. Just been a little bit streaky with the putter at times. So it's been a good couple of weeks or a good week last week and a good day today with the putter. So nice to see some putts drop. Yeah, just hopefully more of the same the rest of the week.

THE MODERATOR: Any prior background with this type of scoring with Stableford?

NATHAN KIMSEY: Absolutely zero. First time I've played this format. So, yeah, kind of just trying to figure it out on the fly and figure out what changes in strategy we might need to make. But, yeah it's fun so far.

THE MODERATOR: You mentioned strategy. Does game plan change at all playing a little bit more aggressive with this?

NATHAN KIMSEY: Yeah, I think a little bit. I think obviously, yeah, just kind of, it's sort of a bit of make as many birdies as you can. If you can give yourself a few chances at eagle as well. So you kind of are just trying to get it as close to the hole every time as you can. If it's second shots into par-5s, even if you can't quite get to the green, just knock it up around the edge of the green. Just trying to give yourself the best opportunities to make as many birdies as possible.

THE MODERATOR: Maybe for those a little less familiar with you, how would you explain your game to those people? What are your strengths?

NATHAN KIMSEY: Steady. Tend to drive it fairly well and get the ball in play a lot. Yeah, just be quite disciplined with where I'm hitting it into the greens and good course management. Then hopefully roll a few putts in and then that's about me, really.

THE MODERATOR: Sunday were you able to hear from a lot of family and friends?

NATHAN KIMSEY: It's been a bit difficult with the time difference. Especially this week and another three hours back. But, yeah, obviously had a lot of messages coming through. Kind of, yeah, Sunday night, Monday traveling was kind of just spent on my phone just trying to reply to everyone. So I had a lot of support from back home, which has been great.

THE MODERATOR: Any support from anyone in particular stick out?

NATHAN KIMSEY: No, just a lot of well wishes and, yeah, a lot of support from family and friends and a lot of other people, a lot of other players coming this week. It's just nice to have that and have that back up from everyone.
