Q. You made it look fairly easy. Is that how you saw it as well?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, definitely found things easy. Struck the ball well and was able to hole some putts. Really didn't get myself in too much trouble, and yeah, took advantage of some opportunities that I was able to give myself.
Q. Take us through the eagle on 9 if you could.
COREY CONNERS: Hit a nice drive. Got it down towards the end of the fairway. Had 152 to the pin. A little bit into the wind off the left, and talked with my caddie, Danny, tried to go right at the pin. Normally like to work the ball a little right-to-left. I knew that shape would get help on the pin with the wind, and struck it really solid.
Couldn't see the ball go in because of the uphill approach but there was some volunteers behind the green and a few fans that made me realize that it had went in. I saw it land. I thought it was going to be pretty good. It was a bonus for it to drop.
Q. What did you hit?
COREY CONNERS: Hit a 9-iron.
Q. 29 on the front, and you bogeyed 10. Bogeys are deflating but on a day like this, are you deflated when you make a bogey?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, because things had been going so well, but I didn't get too down on myself. I knew if I kept plugging away, and kept playing my game, things were on today and I was going to give myself a lot more chances to try and get it back.
Q. When you put the ball into play, drive it in play every hole, can you go at every pin?
COREY CONNERS: Pretty much, with the softness of the greens. There wasn't a lot of flags I was shooting way from today. Some of the pins were in kind of little bowl areas, but pretty much trying to attack the golf course today with the soft conditions.
Q. What's your mindset now heading into the final round, a little bit unknown right now but what's your mindset?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, I'm obviously happy with my position now. Closer to the lead. We'll see what happens with the leaders but I think going to have to continue to be aggressive if you go at some of those pins when I can to try and make some more birdies.
Q. Wanted to ask you about the putts on 17 and 18, a total of five inches and those both would have been birdies, even though you had a great round. Do those sting?
COREY CONNERS: They are both exciting putts and I thought they both had good chances to go in both of them just ran out of speed. It's hard to complain about them. Would have been nice obviously if they had a little more speed and went in. But hit pretty good putts, so nothing I can be too disappointed about.
Q. Did you come here with a number in mind this morning?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, I was kind of inspired by a bunch of the low numbers yesterday. Saw a bunch of guys go low. I got off to a poor start yesterday but really battled back. I think I played my last 12 holes in 4-under par. It gave me some confidence knowing the game was in a good spot and try to continue that, sort of play, keep things simple and give myself as many looks as I can and be free with the putter.
