Q. Christiaan, nice start, 4-under 67. How would you assess that round today?
CHRISTIAAN BEZUIDENHOUT: Yeah, tee to gree I played really solid. Yeah, it was all around a solid ball-striking day. Rolled the ball well on the greens, as well, so really pleased with the good start.
Q. Is this a course that fit your eye when you first came here? Not very many people in the field have played it; is it something that looked good to you when you first got here?
CHRISTIAAN BEZUIDENHOUT: Yeah, it really suits my eye off the tee. It doesn't really suit my game because it's a long course. But yeah, I'm really pleased with the way that I played today. The one goal was I just tried to hit the green, give myself a chance for birdie.
Q. How much attention do you pay to the numbers? You came in here starting the week at No. 60 in the standings. Looks like if it stays the same, you'll be in the mid-40s. Do you look at that each day?
CHRISTIAAN BEZUIDENHOUT: Not really. I just came out here to give myself a chance. I'm just going to play my game. If I make it, great; if I don't, I'm really pleased with a good rookie season on the PGA TOUR to have made it to this point.
Yeah, like I say, I'm just trying to play my game. Even if I don't make it, I feel really pleased to have made it this far.
Q. You've had a good season, as you said. Have you been thinking about the Presidents Cup in the future, and has Captain Immelman had conversations with you regarding that event?
CHRISTIAAN BEZUIDENHOUT: Yeah, we spoke about the tournament. Everything is a little bit up in the air who's going to play, who's not going to play. But I would really like to make that team. Hopefully I can get a good result this week and put some thought in his head, and hopefully I'll be a captain's pick, if not maybe qualify straight into the top eight.
Q. What was the highlight out there for you today? Was there a specific shot or moment out there on the golf course that stood out to you?
CHRISTIAAN BEZUIDENHOUT: Yeah, on 17, I hit into the left rough and I got a jumper out of the rough. Hit it long right, and I had a tough lie, into the grain, up a slope, down a slope. I hit a decent shot to about 12 feet and I rolled that putt in, so it was good to save a shot there. Yeah, and everywhere else I just felt like I played really solid tee to green.
