Q. Xander, how would you assess the day today?
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: It was an interesting day. Overall pretty solid. I got a little -- it's hard to be objective right now just coming off the course. But I would have to look at sort of some of the stats and see how I played. Overall the feel of my game was pretty good. I didn't give myself too great a looks.
I felt like the par-5s really kind of got away from me. I kind of did some of the hard parts right but a few weird bounces. On 3, I ended up kind of almost in the bunker, and it was not there. That was kind of a weird break. Then on 14, I thought I was in the middle of the fairway and it kicked left and ended up in the first cut there. Then 12 I was right in between clubs.
Those are three shots right there that I wish I could have back or just have turn out a little bit different.
Q. Do you feel like your game was about like -- today you played well enough to win, it just didn't go your way?
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Yeah, I'd say so. I didn't do anything stupid. I didn't really reach -- the times I did win as of late, it was very calm and steady, it wasn't very extravagant. Maybe I needed a little bit more fire today. But I felt like I didn't really do anything really wrong, I just didn't get it going my way.
Q. You're headed to East Lake, a place where you've had success. How much confidence do you take from here to East Lake knowing how many times you've played well there?
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Yeah, that was the goal of the week. Obviously winning is first and foremost, but I'd say a close second would be to get the game in some shape to attack that golf course or to play that golf course.
I think my team and I are pretty happy where the game is at, just with one more event left.
