Q. Just first impressions of the golf course and competition, 3-under today. How would you describe that round?
SI WOO KIM: Yeah, I love to play like first tee off, and then I got the best conditions of the greens. I was like it. Yeah, it was a good start, and then back nine a little getting tired with these hills. But trying to keep focused.
Hit a lot of good shots, hit a lot of good putts. A couple misses, but hopefully next couple days I can get better.
Q. You mentioned fitness and the hills. How much will that play a part?
SI WOO KIM: I feel like I really work out, so I was trying to keep drinking, trying to keep breathing, but it's definitely harder than last week.
Q. You came close to a hole-in-one at 16. Can you talk about that shot on that hole?
SI WOO KIM: Yeah, I have 5 and 6, between numbers. I know here altitude, so I try to hit it hard with a 6, and I saw as soon as it land, I can see it right at it. It was close. Too hard maybe.
Q. How do you feel like you played with the altitude? Do you feel like you did well there?
SI WOO KIM: Yeah, my caddie, Manny, is from Colombia so he's used to high altitude. I'm getting help a lot from him. He's used to this altitude, so I love to get like his advice every time.
Q. Is he telling you this is the number to hit and he's doing all the calculations?
SI WOO KIM: Yeah, he calculates everything and he just give me normal TrackMan numbers, so I just hit my numbers. That's it.
Q. What did you think you did particularly well today? Which part of your game excelled?
SI WOO KIM: I think my driver -- I think my driver is way better than last week. I figured something out last week a couple days, so trying to keep the same way. That's why I drive it well than last week. Hopefully same as next three days.
