Q. Obviously a very good day. Can you tell us about it. Anything change? Or just one of those days it all pulled together?
SHANE LOWRY: Yeah, it just kind of came together. I felt like I played -- a big key to this golf course is driving the ball in the fairway. I drove the ball well the first days and didn't really get much out of my rounds.
Yeah, to take away there and shoot a number today was really nice. Obviously I'm a long way behind. But trying to finish up as far up this leaderboard as I can to top off what has been a pretty good season out here.
Q. There's been a lot of talk about adjusting to this golf course from what it was. Has it been as big an adjustment as you thought it would be?
SHANE LOWRY: It's my first time. So no adjustment at all. But the golf course is playing -- to be honest, I thought it would play way harder. The fairways are generous enough and when you get the ball in the fairway, there's a lot of chances.
So obviously the top players in the world are here and they're going to be hitting the fairway a lot of times. There's going to be a lot of chances out there. The greens are perfect.
But I love the golf course. I think -- I've obviously never played the old one, but I think it's a pretty good course. Pretty happy.
Q. You also made a lot of putts today, a 45-footer and a 25-footer, I saw. Can you take us through each of those?
SHANE LOWRY: I worked a lot out here in this big putting green on my speed drills. It's been going pretty well. I felt I putted quite nicely the back half of the season.
It's nice to see a couple of long ones drop. When you get long ones like that, you're really just trying to two-putt them and get a good pace on them. It's nice to see a couple of them go in.
Q. What's your mindset going into tomorrow? Obviously with the staggered start you're nine behind right now, but you're still in the top five. How do you approach Sunday mentally?
SHANE LOWRY: Just finish as high up the leaderboard as I can, shoot the best score I can. It's what I do every day. I sort of had a thought coming into this tournament, if I can win the actual tournament without the stagger start, I think that would be a pretty successful week for me. And I'm going to finish pretty high up the leaderboard.
So we'll see how it goes. Scottie is obviously way ahead. But you never know.
Q. How pleased are you with this season? I know you've got more to play.
SHANE LOWRY: I would have liked to have won individually. Obviously I won the team event with Rory. I felt I gave myself a lot of chances, performed well in a couple of majors.
I'm probably as consistent as I've ever been throughout a regular season on the PGA TOUR. So I'm pretty happy.
I think 2019 is a standout year for me, obviously for obvious reasons. But I think this season has been a close second.
