Q. If you look back on these four days, how would you describe them?
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Yeah, it was a bit rough. A bit rough, more than anything. Kind of pulled out three birdies out of nowhere in my round. Just kind of did what I did all year. I didn't really get ahead of myself and kept telling myself I've got more golf even though my entire season is coming to an end. It's nice to end with three birdies. Definitely helps soothe some of the feelings.
But yeah, I didn't really play great this week. My score showed that.
Q. We've talked about Scottie Scheffler, he's going to win again, his seventh win on the PGA TOUR. Has he been the most dominant player that you've seen since you turned pro?
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: Yeah. I mean, I'd say so. I think by the definition of dominance, I think that's literally where he's sitting. I don't know how many weeks he's been No. 1 player in the world. Since I've been out, I think Dustin had a run, Brooks had a run, Jon had a run, Rory had a run.
But they kind of -- they were kind of punching back and forth between 1, 2 and 3. Scottie has just been at the tip-top of the mountain for, what, two full years now it seems.
Q. 65 weeks.
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: 65 weeks. It's pretty cool.
Q. You have an incredible game, not trying to disrespect you, but if there's one aspect you wish you could take from Scottie's game, is there one?
XANDER SCHAUFFELE: I've got to look at the stats -- when I'm driving it well, I feel like I can get him, but overall I'd say he's probably got me in driving. Just his accuracy is really good when he needs to pick it up or drop the speed a little bit just to hit more fairways.
I think this is a week that was like that. If you could kind of take some speed off just to hit a couple more fairways, it was something you're going to do. Kind of rock a fairway finder, whatever you need to do to keep the ball in the fairway. I mean, I was probably close to last place in fairways hit on a property that's got brand new greens. I'm never going to sniff having a chance.
