Q. That par you made on 16, that putt you made, how significant was that in keeping the momentum going?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, it was nice. I knew going down there right of 16 was a huge penalty. We had talked about it in the practice rounds, and our job was just to get the ball back on the green, which I did, and it was nice to hole that long putt.
Q. You hit a lot of fairways today. How big is that?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I think I missed one there on 16 and all of a sudden I'm almost playing for bogey. It's pretty important around this place.
Q. What went well today?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Like I said, I hit fairways and I holed some nice putts, as well.
Q. How impressive was that birdie putt for Rory on 18?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I have never rooted so hard for somebody's ball to come back, outside of my partner in a team event. Because we're walking to 18 and Bones told us they were going to blow at any second, so I'm watching his ball fly towards the grandstand. I'm like, oh, my gosh, we've got no way of finishing this thing, so I was relieved when I saw it come back on the green.
Q. As well as you drove the ball, and it seemed like you had a lot of wedges in your hand, maybe not as many chances as you would have wanted, but was there anything with the distance -- weather, wind, anything?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Thanks for pointing that out. I really appreciate it. What did I shoot, 7-under? Wedges were terrible.
No, there was something to it. The winds with these storms coming in, it was swirling pretty good. It got us on 10, it got us on 12, and then they kind of died down a little bit, and we were able to hit a good one in there into 15, another one pin high on 17.
Once we kind of got settled with the wind, they got a little bit sharper.
Q. What did you hit on 15?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Pitching wedge.
