Q. Just sum up the week if you could.
BEN GRIFFIN: Yeah, I would say solid. By no means exactly what I wanted. But nonetheless, I feel like this has kind of been the story of the summer. A lot of top 10s, top 15s, and not quite knocking on the door but just keeping my name up there.
I think Fleetwood has been a little bit higher if we were to compare ourselves. Fleetwood has been knocking on the door all summer third, fourth, fifth, and I've been like eighth, ninth, tenth.
It's been a solid year, a really solid year. I'm really proud of myself. It's been a breakthrough year for me for sure, and I think I'll probably finish somewhere around the top 10 this week, which only 30 guys, but nonetheless, some of the best players in the world and proud of how I fought.
Q. Have you been happy with how you played consider the pressure to try to make the Ryder Cup team as well?
BEN GRIFFIN: Yeah, it's been an interesting summer. I've been doing full swing, I've been doing a lot of media, and I feel like every day I get the questions about the Ryder Cup. It's definitely been an added pressure for me, and it's something that's been more on my mind than it probably should be.
But I'm proud of the way I've been able to, once I've stepped on the first tee, just locked in and played golf and focused on the tournament at hand.
After the rounds is when it's all the chatter, who's going to make the team, who's not. It's tough being a bubble guy and being outside that top 6, but I played really solid this year. Hopefully Keegan sees that and wants me to represent the United States.
Q. On that note, what are the emotions you think you're going to feel 24 to 48 hours as you await the call from Keegan?
BEN GRIFFIN: Yeah, it's going to be an anxious 24 to 48 hours. I wouldn't say stressful because I feel like I'm too blessed to be stressed. But definitely anxious just to see if I earned a spot on that team or not or if Keegan believes in me.
I know I've been able to handle some big moments this season. I know I'll be comfortable on that stage at Bethpage, and hopefully I can start practicing 48 hours from now and start getting ready for that Ryder Cup. That would be really cool, especially to represent the United States.
