Quick Quotes

Q. I heard a lot of "Go Dawgs!" and barking following you around the course today. How nice was that to hear?

HARRIS ENGLISH: Yes, pretty every day we set the over/under at about 200 for how many "Go Dawgs!" and I think we hit the over every single day. Yesterday was rowdy with the game coming up last night, and obviously with Georgia winning last night, everybody was excited. It's nice to play in your home state and have a lot of support, a lot of red and black out here today, and even a lot of "Go Baylor" chants from Chattanooga. It's great to have the support.

Q. Did you watch any of the game last night?

HARRIS ENGLISH: Of course I did. I get more versus watching that than anything else.

Q. The birdie on 10, how much was that? Kind of a nice putt after yesterday, such a difficult round, having that highlight the final round?

HARRIS ENGLISH: I still didn't hit it awesome, but I made some crucial putts. And it's nice to see those putts go in to 35 feet, 40 feet over a ridge. You're not expecting to make it, just get it close, but it's an awesome bonus to have them go in.

Q. This is your third time here. How does it compare to the last two?

HARRIS ENGLISH: It's good. Didn't play my best yesterday but learned a lot. It's a tough golf course. You have to have your A Game and hit it in the fairway here, and I didn't have my tee-to-green game that I wanted to but still a solid finish and capped off a great year.

Q. Would you say Rory is now very familiar with the Georgia Bulldogs?

HARRIS ENGLISH: Oh, he is, I asked him, he's going to either love the Dawgs or hate the Dawgs after this week with how may times he's heard "Go Dawgs" after the last two days. Yeah, he needs to get to a college football game and check it out.

Q. In terms of communication with Stricker, when do you expect that to happen?

HARRIS ENGLISH: I'll just wait the next couple days. We'll see what happens. Obviously some guys playing good this week that could jump up there. So, we'll see.

Q. Over/under, how many times you'll check your phone the next couple days?

HARRIS ENGLISH: I'll probably take the next few days off from golf. It's been a long couple weeks and we're all pretty tired. We'll see. I'll have the phone close by and see if I get that call.

Q. Did you get the message from Stricker that not everything is make-or-break this week?

HARRIS ENGLISH: Yeah, go out and play golf, end of the year and no added pressure to make The Ryder Cup. That's kind of the gist I got from some of the vice captains and Stricker himself. I felt like this week I was trying to compete, going to try to win a FedExCup and TOUR Championship, and didn't do that but hopefully it's good enough to get on The Ryder Cup Team.

Q. When will you know?

HARRIS ENGLISH: I have no idea. Hopefully it's before then, but if it is Wednesday morning, it is.

Q. What's more nerve-racking, playing for your country or playing for your card?

HARRIS ENGLISH: Playing for your job is way more nerve-wracking than playing, and didn't make it through the finals and man, it hurt. It hurt a lot. Playing for your job like that, being on the PGA TOUR is a lot more nerve-wracking. It's just great to be on The Ryder Cup. You're with a lot of peers out here and playing for your country.

Playing for your card and keeping your card is a whole different story and there's a lot on the line.
