Quick Quotes

Q. Get some comments on your round, please.

ANDREW PUTNAM: I played good, drove it really well today, been driving it well all week and had a couple late birdies to kind of get the score going lower and satisfied with the day.

Q. How nice was that after the bogey on 14 to come back with three straight birdies?

ANDREW PUTNAM: Yeah, it was nice. Obviously there's a lot of scoring holes coming in, so to capitalize on that, hit some good shots was good.

Q. Nobody really moved ahead today, it's going to be a tight leaderboard tomorrow, just talk a little bit about your what your plan will be.

ANDREW PUTNAM: This course it's all about the last couple holes. There's a drivable hole on 15 and very reachable 16th. So I think the goal is to get yourself in position for the last few holes and see what happens and just go for it and that's all you can do really.

Q. Curious, the front nine today nobody seemed to be making a move at all and people have said wind and pin positions. Would you agree with that?

ANDREW PUTNAM: Yeah, it was a different wind today so I think being a little more cautious, the greens might have firmed up just a hair, so hard to attack too many holes and so just was playing a little bit harder. So the par-5, 9 was straight into the wind so the other days it was down wind, which made some of the scoring holes easier.

Q. And then tomorrow with such a packed leaderboard does that give you the mindset you need to be aggressive, because there's so many people there, or is it more comfortable that there's a crowd there with you?

ANDREW PUTNAM: Yeah, I mean I'm always going to stay aggressive out here, it's the type of course that you got to go low to win, so that's the game plan, if you're hitting it well you can go pretty low.
