Q. 5-under 68, bogey-free. If we can get some comments on a really nice round.
GARRICK HIGGO: Oh, I didn't know it was bogey-free. Didn't feel like it. I 3-putted I think two of the par-5s, but it was a good round, so I'm not going to complain. It's a nice start to the year. If you gave that to me at the start of the day I would have taken it.
Q. Take us through the birdies there, three in a row, 5, 6 and 7.
GARRICK HIGGO: Yeah, just trying to remember the holes. I'm hitting the ball nicely, been working on my play off the tee. I think I hit quite a lot of fairways today, which helps. Obviously the fairways are a bit wider, but I felt like I hit my driver really well.
Q. How has your week been in Maui up to this point and talk to us about what your goals are for this particular week.
GARRICK HIGGO: It's been amazing. I got my brother and my fiance' here.
Goals is just to go as low as I can and see where that gets me, but it's a relaxing week and time to have some fun as well.
Q. Let's talk about leading up to the event how you weren't sure if you would be able to make it for quite some time and the stress and finally getting over here and all the relief and all that.
GARRICK HIGGO: Yeah, it's definitely a relief. Yeah, I mean, it was a tough thing, but I needed the break. I could have left earlier to make sure that I get here, but then again I wouldn't have had time off with family and friends, so nice that both could have happened.
Q. First week without green reading books, any struggles this week, any, that come into play at all or any worries?
GARRICK HIGGO: I never used a green reading book, so for me I think it's maybe brought some of the guys back -- I mean, I think I'm a good putter, I'm very streaky, I like Bermuda greens. So, I mean, I think it's a skill and I think we'll see -- also I think it will make pace of play a little faster, guys won't be second guessing themselves, you'll have to be a bit more confident in your reads.
Q. You had a shorter driver in the bag, I heard you say you were happy with the fairway, talk about how that's all coming together.
GARRICK HIGGO: Two years ago I went to the longer driver because I needed a bit of length. But I started working out a lot more so I think I've kind of gone too far and I need to find a bit more fairways out here. PGA TOUR the fairways are usually a bit tighter than in Europe I would say.
