Q. Just take me through your day. Clean card. Nice birdie on the last.
ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, it was a scrappy round actually. A lot of wonky shots off the first couple holes, but I was a little nervous and I knew that was going to happen.
And then, yeah, my putting and short game saved me today. I've been working hard at it and it seems to be paying off.
Q. You said it was kind of scrappy. Did it take the whole round to figure it out? Was the scrappiness all over it or did it kind of pan out after a while?
ADAM SVENSSON: Hitting balls before I tee'd off and just kind of wasn't feeling it. I was just trying to find something.
Then I birdied the first hole and just hit it left on 2, hit it left on 3, you know, just, yeah, got it around, got it up by the green, hit a bunch of nice bunker shots.
But, yeah, one of those rounds you got to have to put yourself in position.
Q. When you say you were hitting shots before your round and weren't feeling it, how do you overcome that when you know you have a round to play in a competitive tournament?
ADAM SVENSSON: You just have to mentally prepare yourself. You're going to hit bad shots. You just got to go out there and really place the ball in the right spots.
Luckily I kind of found it a little bit last three or four holes; hopefully I can take that into tomorrow.
Q. Will you go work on anything today or are you hanging it up for today?
ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, I am going to go hit a couple shots, just try and see if I can get something going, and then, yeah, go home and rest and eat.
Q. Then last question for you: Looked like it was a little breezier today. This is a course where the wind definitely comes into play. Did it play any factors in your round today?
ADAM SVENSSON: I'm usually pretty good into the wind. I kind of like the wind. Yeah, there is some extremely tough golf shots. I think on 13 I hit 3-iron into that hole, so you definitely got to play smart, golf your ball around here.
