Q. Chris, you bounce back from a rough start. Had some opportunities out there. Do you feel you still have a shot tomorrow?
CHRIS KIRK: Yeah, absolutely. It's going to take a lower round than what I was hoping it would take going into today. Yeah, definitely tough start and then bounced back. Really nice to shoot a couple under on the front, and then just couldn't quite get anything going on the back.
I was hitting a lot of the really nice shots. Hit a lot of iron shots and wedge shots right at it and just kind of kept being 15 feet long, 15 feet short, and couldn't really get any of those putts to drop.
That's the way it goes. Happy with the way I'm playing. Hope I can go catch fire tomorrow.
Q. Talk a little bit about the difference of last week where everybody had a good year the year before and playing here which you've done a lot of times and a lot of guys are hungry because they're going for their first win or been a while for them. Talk about the difference in that.
CHRIS KIRK: Yeah, absolutely. It's a great mix of players here this week. Strong field, so a lot of veterans and guys with a bunch of wins, and then a lot of people that maybe have been on TOUR for a while and haven't won and then you have the rookie class coming up.
So it's always exciting every year when you have the new players come up and I always try to do my best to introduce myself to everybody and say hello and tell them if they need anything don't hesitate.
Yeah, I'm just excited for them. Doesn't feel like very long ago when I was here playing in the Sony Open, first tournament as a PGA TOUR player. I have great memories of that early on in my career. Excited for those guys to have this opportunity.
