Q. Carl, what a day. Excellent round. If we can just get some comments.
CARL YUAN: Yeah, I had a good mindset coming out today. Like I know if I put up a really low score I might have a chance.
I know my game is there this week. I hit the ball pretty good, and just being really aggressive today, and, yeah, really focus on getting the ball to the hole, trying to make good swing.
Q. Currently tied; five players up there. What are your thoughts? What will you do over the next hour or so?
CARL YUAN: I'll probably come up just a little bit short. Yeah, I'm proud with how I play this week and trying to keep the momentum going into the next couple weeks.
I'll probably go hang out for a little bit until someone come in better than me, so, yeah.
Q. Is there a shot you would like to have back?
CARL YUAN: I mean, there are just so many shots for everybody. You know, but that's the way golf works. I made a lot of 40-footers. I mean, I don't want hit those again.
Yeah, I mean, I think I just start accepting things better. Things go well, doesn't go well, as long as I'm putting my full effort it is what it is.
Q. What was the pressure like today compared to the Sunday in RSM trying to keep your card?
CARL YUAN: I would say today is more free roll, that I know if I put up a good score I can climb up the leaderboard. If I don't, not much difference. Just the first event of the season. Not like RSM, last of the season, my job on the line.
Q. This is going to position you well perhaps to get into some bigger events Pebble, Genesis type of stuff. What would that mean to you or what does that mean to you knowing you have a lot more opportunities now potentially based on how you played this week?
CARL YUAN: Yeah, definitely a solid start here in Hawai'i for me, trying to stack up points over the next two weeks. Same thing. Yeah, definitely try to get into those designated events like Genesis and Pebble. Love those courses as well.
